About Us

Thank you for taking time to visit our site and check us out. Whatever has brought you here today, we hope you will find Living Hope well worth the visit. It is our dream to have a church where visitors feel comfortable to come as they are, and members don’t have to think twice about inviting a friend. We work hard to offer a safe environment where it’s okay to sit back, observe and enjoy, while at the same time experiencing the love and grace of God.
Our church exists to passionately, authentically & simply to help people know and follow Jesus. We will risk everything to reach the next one person who is away from God. We value people from all walks of life, and give all we can to serve the homeless and hungry in our community.
Wherever you are on your journey of faith, we would love to walk it with you. Please let us, or any of our staff know if we can serve you and your family in any way.
We’re so glad you’re here!

A Little History
The story of Living Hope Church has been one of great excitement and adventure, while still focused on one thing. Since the doors first opened 1996 with only five families, The vision God gave to Pastor John included one goal: to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus. Our mission is to passionately, authentically and simply help people know and follow Jesus.
What began with just a handful of people has become a rapidly growing community where people from all walks of life are accepted as they are, and feel free to worship God in a unique atmosphere. Our vision - then and now - is to be a church for people who don’t do church. We are a body of people who will risk everything to reach the next one person with the simple, life-changing and eternity-altering message of Jesus Christ.
In November of 2003 we joined with Prairie Community Church and two church families became one. We merged again in October of 2005, and Vancouver Community Church became our first satellite campus. As Living Hope continued to grow we eventually found ourselves in an old Mervyns store at Vancouver Mall. Then in January 2011, God led us to a former Kmart building, which is now our home.
From that humble beginning we have grown to over 5000 in weekly attendance. More than that, we have been privileged to see - over and over - that moment when a life changes through the extravagant love and grace of Jesus. These moments are the reason we do what we do!
