For over 30 years, I’ve been speaking to youth all over the nation. God put a burning desire in me to help the hurting and the lost youth in my community. Going into schools, I have brought a message of self-worth and drug and alcohol prevention. Speaking at youth church camps over the years has been a delight, seeing thousands of kids make a commitment to Christ. I have served as youth pastor and lead pastor, counselor and chaplain. My greatest accomplishment in life is being married for 42 years to my best friend and watching our four grown children on their own life journey with our 11 grandkids.
I am currently serving as lead pastor of Living Hope Church. Through my years of experience of loving the hurting and lost, God has prepared me for such a time as this. I will continue to serve youth in the capacity that I always have, as that is a passion God has put in my heart.
After completing my seminary degree in Theology at Western Seminary, the Lord’s call on my life has provided me a wide range of experiences in leading diverse ministries. I have pastored, served as an overseas missionary, served as international director of missions, and as an executive director. In all these experiences I have been privileged to preach, counsel, teach God’s Word, travel all around the world and provide direction and support as a leader of ministers. While doing all this, the greatest blessing and support in my life journey has been my wife and four children, who I love and cherish!
I am currently the Executive Director of US Digital Outreach, overseeing a ministry facility with over forty ministries and also as Executive Pastor of Living Hope Church, where I lead the administration and staff. These two roles allow me to carry out a God-sized task and be a leader to leaders, minister to ministers, a servant to all; all to the glory of Jesus Christ.
Discipleship and Missions
I felt God’s call to ministry at the age of 18, and have served the Lord ever since. I completed a Master’s degree in Exegetical Theology from Western Seminary. At Living Hope Church I lead many ministries including a Discipleship and Leadership training ministry that has taken over 600 new and growing Christians through an extensive 22 week course. I’ve led over 40 overseas mission trips that have included crusades reaching over 12,000 people at a single event, and worked with hundreds of churches in Nicaragua through a pastor’s conference highlighting church growth and evangelism.
Family means the world to me. Together with my wife of 39 years we have raised 10 children, 7 of whom are married and have given us 15 grandchildren and still counting!
I made my decision for Christ at age 15, after connecting with a local youth pastor. I completed 2 years of discipleship training, worship school, and ministry overseas with YWAM, and then returned to the Pacific Northwest. For the past 17 years music ministry has been my calling, and I’ve been blessed to be able to serve in this way. I’m passionate about helping people encounter the LORD, and see music as a very powerful tool.
God has blessed my wife and I with 3 great kids, and I also enjoy refereeing college soccer.
KidsWorld Interim Director
I decided to follow Jesus at the young age of 4 and chose to deepen that relationship with Him here at Living Hope when I joined our youth group at age 16. Since coming on staff in 2008, I have enjoyed serving and growing through various ministries along the way, as well as completing a Discipleship Training School through Youth With A Mission. I am absolutely thrilled to continue to pour into our church’s youth by serving as the director of KidsWorld alongside an amazing team, to bring the Bible to life, have fun, and strive to make every kiddo feel loved and valued.
God has blessed me with a marvelous husband of 6 years and a super fun and friendly 2 year old son. I enjoy getting out in nature as well as inciting wonder in others for all that God created, did, and continues to do for us.
I accepted Jesus as my personal savior in 2007 and since then have felt called to serve the youth. I pursued that call in a variety of ways, including spending 2 years with a successful church plant in Wenatchee, WA. After returning to Vancouver I took part in a 9 month intensive internship program.
Now I’m pleased to be serving as Living Hope Church’s middle school pastor, while at the same time I’m working toward my Bachelor’s Degree in Theology at Portland Bible College.
