What is Underground?

Hi there.  My name's Kris and am privileged to work with the best staff and the most amazing students I've ever known on a weekly basis.  Underground is the title of our middle school ministry.  We have 3 different times to choose from know: Saturday at 6pm, Sunday at 11am, or Sunday at 1pm.  At each of these service, the audacious volunteers and I are pumped to love and share the word with every student that walks through the door while making them laugh through stories and ridiculous games.  Basically, Underground is amazing!
When I think of the word underground, I think of death.  Death is something people rarely speak of, unless you witnessed someone rise from the grave.  As I was reading in the Gospel of John this week, I came across the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead by Jesus.  When you were once dead, then walk again, people will notice.  People will surely talk and look and wonder.  My prayer is that the students and leaders of Underground will be so radical for Jesus and shine so bright that it's as though Jesus just raised us from the dead.  Eph. 2:4-5
Join me this weekend at one of our service as we seek God's face.
