Our Promised Land

In April, 2010, we stepped out and risked everything, moving our whole church to Vancouver Mall. We knew on the front end that it was temporary, but once again, trusted what ONLY GOD can do when we step out of the boat. After nine months and thousands of visitors, Living Hope Church had to leave to make way for the new theater which was moving in. We jokingly said we were the largest 'homeless' church in America. After praying, seeking God and being willing to be led yet again, we moved, with only days to spare, into a former Kmart store, which sits on approximately 12 acres and has an 85,000 square foot building. Pastor John stood on stage with only a 90 day lease in hand, and declared it to be our Promised Land.

Over the next year God moved miraculously to provide more than the $5 million needed to purchase the property. The journey is memorialized in our Standing Stones water feature in the lobby of the building, and remains a constant reminder of God's power to build his church. This is more than just a church property; this is our Promised Land!
