Meet Our Team
After completing my seminary degree in Theology at Western Seminary, the Lord called me to serve in ways I never could have imagined. I have pastored, served as an overseas missionary, served as an International Director of Missions, and as an Executive Director. In all these experiences, I have been privileged to preach, counsel, teach God’s Word, travel all around the world, and provide direction and support as a leader of ministers. Throughout this journey, my greatest blessing and support has been my wife and four children, who I love and cherish!
Today, I serve as Lead Pastor of Living Hope Church, where I lead the administration and staff, and also as Executive Director of US Digital Outreach, where I oversee a ministry facility with over forty ministries. These two roles allow me to carry out a God-sized task and be a leader to leaders, minister to ministers, and a servant to all—all to the glory of Jesus Christ.
I felt God’s call to ministry at the age of 18 and I completed my master’s degree in Exegetical Theology at Western Seminary. At Living Hope Church, I lead many ministries including a Discipleship and Leadership training ministry that has guided over 600 new Christians through an extensive 22 week course. I’ve also been blessed to lead over 40 overseas mission trips that have included crusades reaching over 12,000 people at a single event.
Family means the world to me. Together with my wife of 40 years, we have raised 10 children, 8 of whom are married and have given us 18 grandchildren and counting!
Men’s Care & Prayer
I came to Christ at Living Hope Church and quickly began serving as a greeter as well as in the Live Love ministry. After taking all the discipleship and leadership classes and learning all I could, I served as the Downtown Campus Pastor for 1 1/2 years. My heart is to serve those less fortunate, whether in recovery, homeless, or just hurting. I’m passionate about lifting up and encouraging everyone I encounter, and filling the hopeless with hope.
I’m thrilled to be serving now as Care/Prayer Pastor for men, as well leading the recovery ministry and homeless outreach, while also working toward my bachelor’s degree in Church Leadership at Portland Bible College. I was married last year and my wife and I have two lovely daughters. We’re excited to be on this journey and look forward to all that God has in store.
Women’s Care & Prayer
I made my decision to follow Christ at the age of 17 and I’ve now been in ministry for decades. Prayer has been my foundation in encouraging others in the body of Christ and has helped me immensely in teaching discipleship, leading prayer intercession, evangelizing, and preaching the Word of God. I love to see people encouraged and I pursued this passion by earning a master’s degree in Counseling and Seminary Education through International College of Ministry. I have served as a professional mental health counselor since 2003.
My greatest achievement is being married to my husband and having my four children. I’m excited to be serving as Care/Prayer Pastor for women, along with leading the missions team as well as the singles at Living Hope Church. Since joining the Living Hope family I have enjoyed being a part of many different ministry areas as well as serving as a Lay Pastor. I continue to have joy in my call to pastor to be able to love and care for all those who need it.
I’ve had a lifelong passion to know, love, and serve God. Over the last several decades, my ministry life has centered on serving children and their parents.
I’m married to my best friend and we have 3 children. My greatest joy is having my family serve in ministry alongside me. We are beyond excited to be a part of Living Hope Church and are thankful that we can join you as we walk this faith journey together.
MATT & KATE BEEMAN
Born and raised in Alaska, we both came to know the Lord at an early age. Over the years God worked deeply in our hearts in ways that ingrained His unconditional love, sovereignty, and purpose.
Matt holds a master’s degree in Evangelism and Church Planting from Liberty University and a master’s in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. He’s been working in education for the last 15 years, teaching and providing specialized support for students with behavioral needs. His heart is to see young people that have known heartache and tragedy experience the love of God through the gospel of Jesus.
Kate served for 3 years with a ministry that addresses abuse, domestic violence, and child neglect throughout the state of Alaska. She holds an associate’s degree in multimedia art from the Art Institute of Portland and has received training for addiction and trauma counseling. As an artist, musician, and writer, she desires to use her talents to share the gospel of Christ and to help students identify and develop the gifts God has placed in them.
We’ve been married for 11 years and have two sons. We feel called to share the stories of God’s great redemption in our lives so that others may be encouraged, and we’re excited to be serving Living Hope Church’s youth.
God has always broken my heart for anyone who is hurting in any way. I have been a part of Living Hope Church for over 12 years and through this church I have seen the most incredible testimonies of lives changed forever by Jesus Christ. I have also had opportunities to go on mission trips all over the world and have witnessed God transform countless lives in many different cultures and countries. I am beyond blessed to pastor our young adults ministry. There are thousands in this area who need to know the love and hope that only comes from Jesus Christ. I’m so excited to see what God has done and is continuing to do!
I have been married to the love of my life for 8 years. We don’t have children yet, but we have one pug daughter named Pearl.
I became a Christian as a child, growing up in a home with both parents being ordained ministers. My greatest inheritance is the Christian heritage my parents gave me. I was called into music ministry and served in that area for 14 years. I also served a time as youth pastor. I’ve attended various colleges and recently completed my certification to be a Christian Life Coach.
After 35 years as a competitive athletics coach and administrator, God led me to retire and use that experience and knowledge for church sports ministry. I’ve been the Director of Sports Ministry at Living Hope Church for 8 years. I’m excited for the future of sports ministry as we reach out to partner with other area churches. God has given me a vision and a passion to pursue that vision.
