Reconciled: Faith to See God & Faith to See Others

1. This weekend, we were blessed to have Pastor Josh Kelsey from C3 Church in Australia take the stage and share a message about faith and reconciliation. In your groups, talk about a time when you believed God at His Word even when you couldn’t see His activity. Did you ever have any doubt? If so, how did you deal with it?
2. Job suffered more than most of us have or ever will. Take a look at Job 1:13-19 and 2:7-8 and imagine for a moment what that must have been like to experience. Now see his response: (Job 1:21 & 19:26). What do you think enabled him to maintain his faith and trust in God through his affliction (Job 13:15)?
3. Read Matthew 9:18-26. What stands out to you about this woman’s faith? What about her faith captured Jesus’ attention?
4. Moses had a personal encounter with God: Genesis 3:1-6. Talk about a time when you saw God. When did He become real to you? Read Genesis 16:7-14. What happened in this story? How was Hagar’s faith changed after meeting with God?
5. Are you in a situation that seems impossible, where the deck appears to be stacked against you? What encouragement does Paul give in 2 Corinthians 4:7-18? How do these Scriptures tie into our series and Pastor Josh’s message this weekend? How can you change your perspective when faced with difficult circumstances?
6. 2 Corinthians 5:16-19 is the main theme for this series. We have been given the ministry of reconciliation; once we receive grace, we are to extend grace to others. How are you doing with this? In your homes? In your workplace?
Please continue to be in prayer for Michelle, for her complete healing so she can return home!!! She is recovering, but slowly and still too weak to fly. God is our Healer and we will stand believing together for her full health to return.
